Thursday 1st October - walks **** – Felixstowe and Waldringfield – sunny and warm.

Walk 1 – Sunrise Felixstowe prom.

I joined Mag on her early morning walk along Felixstowe prom, although it is always nice to be out early the sunrise was disappointing with a large bank of cloud where the sun comes up! I took a few pics with my new mobile which Mag got me for my up and coming Birthday ! Our peace was once again disturbed by the noisy workers putting in a new water main up the road! The early cloud disappeared and we had a lovely sunny day, warm too, we enjoyed breakfast in the garden followed by exercises, I then packed a picnic.

Walk 2 – Waldringfield circuit including a picnic.

I unloaded the windsurfing gear from the van and we headed off, still sunny but with some lovely banks of fluffy clouds. First stop was the field of sunflowers and pumpkins at Martlesham so I could take a few pics and was lucky enough to get one on tonights BBC Look East, got to love Kate! It was then a short drive to park at Waldringfield Church for a walk down to the River Deben where we found a bench to enjoy lunch with stunning views across the water. The tide was high, there were boats and up and down including yachts enjoying a nice offshore breeze with the warm sun on our backs and brilliant clouds overhead, it made for some lovely pics! We sat there ages before continuing up river and we only just got past the Maybush Pub as the tide was high! We walked up the lane to the cottage selling plants so after reaching the van we returned to buy half a dozen for a good price. Then home for a welcome cuppa, my new (well secondhand) laptop arrived but I couldn’t us it as our router is dead, a new one is arriving tomorrow!
